Sunscreen review: Benton Papaya-D Sun Cream SPF 38 PA +++
Living in a country where it is summer all year round means that I use a lot of sunscreen, around 1-2 tubes a month. Recently, Benton sent me their new Papaya-D Sun Cream SPF 38 PA +++ for review. Thank you, Benton!
My experience with this cream – it is a fairly thick cream that works best layered upon several hydrating products, so I can only use it in the mornings when I have had time to slather toner, essence, serums before applying sunscreen. I’m more used to lighter sunscreens of the essence or milk variety.
Scent-wise, I would not say that it smells like papaya (the #1 ingredient in this sunscreen apart from the filters are papaya fruits extracts, see ingredient list below). Instead, I think it smelt sweet in a vaguely artificial fruity oil way, which would make sense if you look at the bottom of the ingredients list – it’s full of fruity oils.
White cast – yes. Very much so. Made me look chalky.
Would I purchase this? I think this cream would work better in colder climate, but I don’t live in that kind of country.
