Unboxing of April Fool AB Gift Exchange 2017
So, some time ago I joined the My AB Fools Gift Exchange for Malaysian ABers on Instagram, and I received this very generous gift from my gifer Annie:
It came in this very pretty Althea box in yellow and gold instead of the customary pink. This was the CNY design apparently. The box was a bit bent from the domestic delivery but everything inside was intact !
My gifter Annie wrote a really sweet letter on the postcard. I don't have it with me right now because I've sent it to be laminated, but the gist of it was she bought this postcard at a bookshop in Japan that was over 80 years old, currently being run by the third generation of owners. I'm so touched that she gave it to me. The two cards below look so awesome too!
She also wrote a really sweet message about being happy to be part of the Malaysian AsianBeauty Discussion Group. It's a group chat we have on the Telegram app, started by Malaysian redditors on r/AsianBeauty. A pretty active group that I'm proud to be part of too!
Below the cards, I found these masks:
Clockwise from top left to bottom left:
1) Tosowoong Propolis mask - this flavour is possibly the most popular tosowoong mask flavour (well, according to the general consensus on reddit, it definitely is lol). I've only tried Tosowoong deep sea aqua mask, but I have high hopes for this one !
2) Evercos red ginseng - I've wanted to try evercos for so long!
3) Evercos licorice - brightening/whitening masks are my jam
4) Lovemore mountain tea - I love tea , and I look forward to trying this one. The only other mask I tried before this that was tea-flavoured was Banila Co Ooloong black tea mask, and that smelt wonderful.
5) Lovemore Rose Hybrida - look forward to trying this too!
6) Klairs - I've never tried this, and I've heard so much good things about it.
7) Faith in Face - Always bright
8) Jayjun Rose Blossom - I've got this on my wishlist in Koreadepart lol.
Annie knows all the masks in my to-buy list lol. When I'd removed the masks from the box, I was surprised to see so many full-sized items beneath:
Top: Senka Perfect Water Oil - I tried the deluxe sample of this some time ago and liked it a lot. It had a very nice bubblegum scent that wasn't too strong, and the texture was light and washed off easily.
The full size product, however, had little to no scent, the texture was thicker and didn't feel nice on the skin. I was so disappointed with this product! I may use it to oil cleanse my scalp.
Left to right:
1) Biore UV Watery Gel (2017 edition) - I LOVE the biore watery gel - both 2017 and the older version, because it spreads so lightly on the skin and it works (I spend most of my time in office). I rank it my top favourite and it shares the throne with the Biore Watery Essence (rose scented)
2) Peripera Ink (Coral) - I have exactly this shade lol. Annie knows what I like.
3) Mizon Snail Recovery Gel - I've been wanting to try this for some time as spot treatment for mosquito bites (I know I'm weird) but someone says it works very well!
4) Neulii Vita Brightening Serum - I wanted this because apparently it makes the skin tone very even and smooth and that's always a trigger for me lol.
5) Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence (Rose edition) - I don't have a first essence yet apart from a deluxe sample of Mamonde honeysuckle first energy essence.
Lastly, the samples!
I see Whamisa, Whamisa, and Whamisa ! It's a brand I've wanted to try for a long time. I got the Organic Fruits Peeling Finger Mitt, which sounds promising, and 3 sachets of eye essence.
Also Berrisom Timetox Revitalising Gel Toner and Mayu Healing Facial Cream. It's like a whole routine in the samples lol.
I like my box so much and my gifter was so generous! Can't thank you enough Annie.
Thanks also to Fateen and Dayangku Nuraini for organising this gift exchange!
